Job Description

We are in search of an IT Help Desk Coordinator to manage technical support operations in Durban. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem-solving, possess strong communication skills, and have experience in supporting IT systems and users effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related inquiries and issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software applications and hardware systems.
  • Document and track all issues and resolutions in the helpdesk system.
  • Liaise with vendors for repair and service of equipment.
  • Assist in onboarding processes for new employees regarding IT setup.
  • Improve service quality by gathering user feedback.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
  • Manage ticketing systems and prioritize requests based on urgency.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training materials for end users.
  • Monitor system performance and escalate issues when necessary.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science or IT
  • Certifications in IT support preferred

  • 3+ years working in a help desk or support role
