We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist to join our Healthwise Rehabilitation team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will work closely with patients to assess their physical conditions and create tailored rehabilitation plans that promote mobility and reduce pain. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding patients through their recovery journeys, using evidence-based practices to achieve optimal outcomes. Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish their physiotherapy needs.
• Design and execute rehabilitation programs tailored to individual goals.
• Utilize manual therapy and therapeutic exercises during treatment sessions.
• Track and report on patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Provide education and support to patients regarding health maintenance.
• Engage in continuous professional development to keep up-to-date with trends.
• Contribute to the development of departmental policies and protocols.
• Conduct outreach programs to promote services and educate the community.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary treatment environment.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care and progress.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy
• Postgraduate diploma in sports physiotherapy

Experience

• 3 to 5 years experience in clinical settings

Technical Skills

• Manual therapy
• Knowledge of fitness and rehabilitation technology

Certifications

• Sports Physiotherapy Certification
• Pain Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

• Knowledge about ergonomic assessments: Ability to assess workplace ergonomic setups to prevent injuries.
• Certification in dry needling: Ability to perform dry needling as part of treatment.
