Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Worker to join our team in Johannesburg. You will play a pivotal role in providing guidance and support to individuals and families in need, conducting assessments, and developing effective intervention plans.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to assess their psychological, social, and emotional needs.
• Facilitate crisis intervention and provide immediate support to those in distress.
• Work with families to strengthen relationships and promote healthy functioning.
• Assist clients in navigating social services and community resources.
• Conduct follow-up assessments to ensure ongoing client support.
• Develop partnerships with local organizations to enhance service delivery.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in social work.
• Contribute to grant proposals and fundraising efforts as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
• Master's degree in Social Work is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in social work or related field

Certifications

• Registered Social Worker certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
