Job Description

We are seeking a Veterinarian to join our passionate team in Durban. In this role, you will evaluate patient health, implement treatments, and partake in community outreach to promote animal health education.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a variety of medical and surgical conditions in animals.
  • Prescribe and recommend treatments, medications, and dietary adjustments.
  • Monitor patient's recovery post-surgery/procedure and adjust treatment as needed.
  • Educate the public and pet owners on animal health topics.
  • Participate in staff meetings and continuous education opportunities.
  • Foster a positive relationship with clients and their pets, ensuring outstanding customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Engage in preventive health programs for pet owners and their pets.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science
  • Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical or private practice setting
