Job Description

We are seeking a talented Food Scientist to join our innovative team in Durban. This role involves developing and improving food products, conducting research on food safety and quality, and working closely with marketing and production teams to bring new products to market. You will play a key role in ensuring our offerings meet stringent regulatory standards while also appealing to consumer preferences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects to enhance the nutritional profile of food products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product launches.
  • Conduct shelf-life studies and stability testing for new products.
  • Investigate consumer feedback and apply insights to product development.
  • Stay current with food science advancements and technologies.
  • Provide technical support to marketing and sales teams.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field
  • PhD in Food Science is a strong advantage

  • 5+ years of experience in food research and development
