Job Description

As a Childcare Worker, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children aged 0 to 5 years. Your role will involve planning educational activities, supervising playtime, and ensuring the emotional and physical well-being of each child. We seek an individual who is passionate about working with children and can foster their social and emotional development.

Responsibilities

• Implement daily routines for children, including snacks, activities, and rest time.
• Encourage children to express their thoughts and feelings.
• Guide children in developing their social skills through group games and activities.
• Monitor individual children's progress and report concerns to the Centre Manager.
• Assist in organizing family events and open days.
• Stay updated on child development practices and educational resources.
• Support a diverse and inclusive environment for all children.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Higher Certificate in Early Childhood Development

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a childcare setting or similar

Technical Skills

• Behaviour Management

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Child Protection Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Afrikaans.
