Job Description

As a Social Worker in Durban, you will be responsible for addressing the needs of individuals and families in crisis. Your expertise will help identify resources and develop plans that facilitate positive change and support for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate clients’ situations to provide appropriate interventions.
  • Develop and implement treatment and care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Facilitate access to necessary resources and support services for clients.
  • Conduct outreach programs to raise awareness of available services.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to individuals in distress.
  • Engage in community outreach to promote social programs.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure their needs are met.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of client progress and outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and supervision for professional growth.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
  • Master's degree in Social Work preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in social work or related field
