Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join our passionate team in Pretoria. This role involves diagnosing and treating a range of health issues in animals, performing surgeries, and providing guidance to pet owners on health and nutrition. Responsibilities

  • Assess animal patients and diagnose conditions.
  • Perform surgical and medical treatments as required.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' health.
  • Administer vaccinations and preventative treatments.
  • Organize and maintain medical and surgical equipment.
  • Ensure best practices in animal care and treatment.
  • Supervise and mentor junior vets and support staff.
  • Support veterinary outreach initiatives in the community.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans.
  • Adhere to all veterinary guidelines and regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine or related field
  • Postgraduate studies in a specialised field are advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a veterinary practice
