Job Description

Join our team as a Veterinary Surgeon in Johannesburg, where you will be entrusted with the health and well-being of a variety of animals. You will diagnose, treat, and perform surgeries while educating pet owners about their animal's health needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead surgical procedures with precision and care.
• Provide post-operative care to ensure recovery.
• Diagnose health issues and create treatment plans.
• Engage with pet owners about their pets' health and wellness.
• Ensure a safe and sanitary environment in the clinic.
• Contribute to community outreach programs for animal welfare.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science from an accredited institution
• Postgraduate qualification in Veterinary Medicine is preferred

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in a clinical setting

• Anesthesia Management

Certifications

• Registered Veterinary Specialist in Surgery
• American College of Veterinary Surgeons certification preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Proficient in emergency veterinary practices: Experience in urgent and critical care situations is advantageous.
