Job Description

We are looking for experienced Forging Machine Setters, Operators, and Tenders to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidates will be responsible for operating and maintaining forging machinery to produce high-quality metal components.

Responsibilities

• Use hammers and presses to shape metal into parts and components.
• Monitor the forging process to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Collaborate effectively with other skilled trades within the production team.
• Maintain detailed records of production output and machine performance.
• Perform troubleshooting on machinery as needed.
• Assist with training new operators on forging techniques and safety.

Requirements

Education

• Trade Certificate in Forging or relevant field

Experience

• Proven experience as a Forger or Blacksmith.

Technical Skills

• Metal Properties Knowledge
• Tool Proficiency

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Forklift Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with CNC machinery: Skills in programming and operating CNC machines used in forging processes.
• Lean Manufacturing Principles: Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency.
