Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in structural design, analysis, and project management, contributing to various engineering projects that elevate the architectural landscape.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering evaluation of new construction methods and technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create and implement strategies for project success and risk mitigation.
• Draft and submit design proposals for approval.
• Assess the feasibility of projects based on engineering principles.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
• Master's in Structural Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of substantial experience in structural projects

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Revit

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Communication

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer Status (CEng)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Proficient

Advantageous

• Exposure to Project Management Software (e.g., MS Project): Experience using project management tools for scheduling and tracking.
• Advanced knowledge of structural materials: Understanding the properties and applications of various materials.
