We are searching for a dedicated Social Worker to join our supportive team in Durban. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in improving the lives of individuals and families facing social challenges. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and providing ongoing support to clients.

Responsibilities

• Assess client situations and determine appropriate courses of action.
• Create and implement strategies to promote client empowerment.
• Work closely with families to facilitate understanding and support.
• Link clients to essential services and community resources.
• Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Document interventions and client outcomes in line with policies.
• Support clients in navigating the social welfare system.
• Conduct outreach and awareness programs in the community.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
• Registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professionals

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a social work or community service role

Certifications

• Registered Social Worker

Languages

• English: Fluent
