Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. You will play a crucial role in our engineering projects, ensuring that all designs comply with safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement mechanical designs using CAD software.
• Evaluate the performance of mechanical systems under various conditions.
• Collaborate with other engineers to integrate mechanical components with electrical systems.
• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for projects.
• Present designs and project updates to stakeholders.
• Run simulations and analyze data to optimize designs.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
• Assist in the training of junior engineers and interns.
• Contribute to the development of company policies and procedures.
• Document all engineering processes and findings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of work experience in mechanical engineering

Technical Skills

• Prototyping
• 3D Printing

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with robotics: Experience in the design and implementation of robotic systems.
