Forensic Science Technician

Job Description

As a Forensic Science Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the criminal justice system by analyzing and interpreting physical and biological evidence. Your expertise will support law enforcement agencies in solving cases and providing essential evidence for court proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process forensic evidence from crime scenes.
• Perform DNA analysis, fingerprint analysis, and chemical testing.
• Effectively communicate findings to detectives and law enforcement agencies.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of evidence and analysis.
• Mentor junior team members and interns in forensic practices.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on laboratory procedures and protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science or a relevant field
• Master's degree or PhD in Forensic Science preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in forensic science or criminal investigations
