Public Health Specialist

Job Description

As a Public Health Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing health programs, engaging with the community, and evaluating public health interventions for effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Lead community health assessments to identify health issues.
• Develop partnerships with local organizations for health promotion.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions on health topics.
• Advocate for policies that improve health outcomes.
• Conduct research on public health topics relevant to the community.
• Assist in the allocation of resources for public health projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or Health Promotion
• Master's degree in Public Health is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in community health work

• Health Education Specialist (CHES)

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
