Public Health Specialist

Job Description

As a Public Health Specialist, you will spearhead projects focused on health improvement. This role requires a deep understanding of public health issues, the ability to collect and analyze data, and strong communication skills to engage with community members and health professionals alike.

Responsibilities

• Engage in community assessments to prioritize health needs.
• Develop community-specific health strategies driven by data and evidence.
• Lead public health education campaigns to raise awareness on various health topics.
• Collaborate with multi-sectoral teams to address the social determinants of health.
• Facilitate community activities and events that promote health and wellness.
• Review and report on the progress of public health programs.
• Advocate for resources and policies that support effective health outcomes.
• Effectively communicate health information to various audiences.
• Provide mentorship to new public health staff and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in public health program management
