Responsibilities

• Perform health screenings and preventative care assessments.
• Manage patient follow-ups and ensure continuity of care.
• Advise patients on lifestyle changes to improve health outcomes.
• Conduct and supervise specific medical tests as required.
• Provide compassionate patient care and emotional support.
• Educate patients about medications and side effects.
• Mentor junior staff and interns in clinical practices.
• Engage in community health initiatives and outreach.
• Follow guidelines for infection control and patient safety.
• Encourage patient feedback to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Postgraduate Diploma in Family Medicine is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in a primary care setting

Technical Skills

• Diagnostic skills
• Utilization of EMR systems

Certifications

• HPCSA Registration
• Certification in Clinical Medicine

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
