Lumberjack

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lumberjack with experience in tree felling and transportation of logs. This physically demanding role requires proficiency in using chainsaws and other forestry equipment to support timber production and operations.

Responsibilities

• Cut down trees and process logs into timber products.
• Work alongside a team to ensure effective log transportation.
• Follow all safety regulations when operating heavy machinery.
• Participate in forestry assessments and quality checks.
• Assist management in planning logging operations.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
• Maintain an awareness of environmental practices related to logging.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in timber grading and forest management practices is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Chainsaw operation
• GPS technology

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Certifications

• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Chainsaw maintenance skills: Ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs on chainsaws.
