Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated IT Support Technician to join our expanding IT team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will assist with the daily operations of our IT systems, providing on-site support to ensure our technology runs smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance on IT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist in maintaining the organization's IT asset inventory.
• Collaborate with the IT team to implement IT solutions.
• Help resolve escalated issues from junior support staff.
• Contribute to the development of IT support documentation.
• Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• IT certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or similar

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in IT support

Technical Skills

• Linux OS
• Cloud Services

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with remote support tools: Hands-on experience with tools for providing remote IT support.
