Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to become a vital part of our progressive team in Johannesburg. The successful applicant will play a key role in delivering high-quality veterinary services, utilizing their expertise to diagnose and treat a range of animals. Responsibilities

  • Examine animals and establish diagnoses.
  • Schedule and perform surgeries, ensuring pre- and post-operative care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pets' health.
  • Work closely with veterinary nurses and support staff.
  • Manage the clinic's patient flow and care standards.
  • Develop protocols for animal treatment and care.
  • Engage in emergency response and critical care.
  • Participate in educational programs for clients and staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine or related field
  • Master's degree in Veterinary Surgery is an advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in veterinary surgery
