Job Description

The Job Development Specialist will play a critical role in identifying and developing job opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with employers and job seekers to facilitate successful job placements while providing ongoing support to ensure job retention.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain enduring relationships with local businesses to uncover job opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
  • Guide job seekers by tailoring their job applications and interview techniques to suit market demands.
  • Provide comprehensive support to ensure job seekers adapt and thrive in their new roles.
  • Network with community organizations to promote awareness of disability employment services.
  • Collect and analyze data on job placements and barriers faced by individuals with disabilities.
  • Design and implement outreach strategies to engage potential employers and enhance job placements.
  • Coordinate with training providers to ensure job seekers receive necessary skills development.
  • Monitor industry trends to remain informed about the evolving job market.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Higher qualification preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience working in disability employment services.
