Inventory Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Inventory Manager to oversee our inventory operations in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory control, management, and optimization. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with suppliers and customers, and ensuring optimal stock levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage the inventory team to ensure timely project completion.
• Analyze data to forecast inventory needs.
• Implement best practices for stock rotation and management.
• Develop relationships with suppliers for better procurement.
• Facilitate communication between departments regarding inventory changes.
• Assist in budget creation and cost management for inventory.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field
• An MBA would be advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in inventory or supply chain management

Technical Skills

• SAP or Oracle ERP Systems
• Forecasting Techniques

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Associate in Project Management (APM)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with E-commerce Inventory Systems: Experience in managing inventory for online sales platforms.
• Knowledge of Quality Control Processes: Understanding of quality assurance practices in inventory management.
