Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Fire Prevention Technician to join our team in Cape Town. As part of our operations, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining fire safety equipment, conducting safety audits, and implementing effective fire prevention strategies. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with local fire safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of fire safety equipment and systems regularly.
• Update and maintain records of fire safety equipment status and compliance.
• Train staff on proper use of fire safety equipment and emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with local fire authorities to ensure compliance with fire codes.
• Conduct post-incident reviews to determine causes and recommend preventative measures.
• Assist in planning and implementing fire drills and training sessions.
• Utilize fire safety inspection software for documenting and analyzing data.
• Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on best practices.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional certifications in fire safety or emergency response are advantageous.

Experience

• Experience in conducting safety audits and risk assessments.
