Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Corporate Accountant to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices and experience with financial reporting. This role involves managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations to support our business operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Conduct variance analysis and budget reviews.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Liaise with external auditors during the audit process.
• Assist with tax preparation and filing.
• Develop and implement financial policies and controls.
• Monitor financial transactions and ensure accuracy.
• Provide financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Accounting or equivalent
• CIMA or other relevant accounting qualification is a bonus

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years in a corporate accounting environment

Technical Skills

• Accounting Software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks)
• Budget Management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems: Familiarity with enterprise-level accounting software for financial management.
