Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Corporate Accountant to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices and experience with financial reporting. This role involves managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations to support our business operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage daily accounting operations, including payroll.
• Conduct financial forecasting and risk analysis.
• Assist in the development of annual budgets.
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls.
• Provide guidance on financial legislation and regulations.
• Facilitate financial planning and analysis sessions.
• Support team members in financial reporting tasks.
• Collaborate on strategic initiatives with management.
• Continuously optimize accounting processes for efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Accounting or equivalent
• CIMA or other relevant accounting qualification is a bonus

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years in a corporate accounting environment

Technical Skills

• Accounting Software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks)
