The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating various events from start to finish, including budgeting, vendor management, and client communication. Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team members and clients to ensure smooth event execution.
• Develop marketing materials and promotional strategies for events.
• Conduct site inspections and oversee setup and breakdown processes.
• Utilize social media and online platforms to promote events.
• Foster relationships with venue owners and local vendors.
• Work with other departments for cross-promotional opportunities.
• Ensure event branding aligns with client expectations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field
• Postgraduate qualifications in Event Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the events industry

Technical Skills

• Event Design
• Marketing

Soft Skills

• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP)
• PMP (Project Management Professional)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in sponsorship acquisition: Ability to secure sponsorships for events.
• Familiarity with industry trends: Knowledge of current trends in the event planning industry.
