Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tax Consultant to join our Durban office. As a Tax Consultant, you will be responsible for advising clients on tax-related matters, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with South African tax laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations and be able to provide strategic insights for effective tax planning.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze financial statements to determine tax liabilities.
• Work closely with clients to gather necessary information for tax filings.
• Develop and implement tax compliance programs for clients.
• Assist in representing clients in front of tax authorities.
• Provide strategic recommendations to optimize tax positions.
• Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• Master's degree in Taxation or related field preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a tax consultancy role

Technical Skills

• Income Tax Law
• Financial Analysis

• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Certified Tax Advisor (CTA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
