Job Description

We are seeking a passionate General Practitioner to join our team at Community Health Services in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and experience in a clinical setting. You’ll play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients, while providing invaluable health advice to promote a healthier community.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients' acute and chronic conditions.
• Conduct routine health screenings and preventative services.
• Offer consultations and health guidance to patients and families.
• Maintain high patient satisfaction and quality of care.
• Engage in community outreach programs to enhance public health.
• Participate in team meetings to review patient care strategies.
• Ensure ethical and compassionate treatment of all patients.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the practice.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent qualification
• Family Medicine specialty is highly preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in primary care

• Emergency Care

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

• Experience in pediatric care: Background in handling pediatric patients and their health concerns.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR): Proficient in using Electronic Health Record systems for managing patient data.
