Job Description

We are seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for aesthetics and a passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision and bring it to life through innovative design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Translate client visions into innovative design solutions.
• Prepare sketches, renderings, and presentation boards.
• Assist clients in understanding design feasibility and material options.
• Work closely with construction teams during the implementation phase.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations and safety standards.
• Develop project timelines and schedules.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the design process.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
• Master's degree is an added advantage

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• SketchUp
• Project Management Tools

Soft Skills

• Creative Thinking
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Professional Interior Designer Certification
• Certified Interior Decorators International (CID)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with building codes and regulations: Knowledge of local building codes to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Strong portfolio of past projects: Demonstrated success in previous interior design projects showcased in a portfolio.
