Job Description

We seek a passionate Civil Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will work on exciting infrastructure projects, ensuring quality and efficiency. You will be involved from the planning phase through to completion, collaborating with a dynamic team of professionals to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications for engineering projects.
• Engage with local authorities for permits and approvals.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
• Ensure engineering practices adhere to legal and environmental legislation.
• Prepare quality assurance tests and inspect completed projects.
• Maintain accurate records of project changes and developments.
• Generate innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant civil engineering experience

Technical Skills

• Python
• Finite Element Analysis

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Time Management

Certifications

• Outdoor Construction Safety Training (OCCS)
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor is an advantage

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Knowledge of environmental regulations: Familiarity with government policies regarding environmental standards.
• Capacity to mentor junior engineers: Experience guiding and training less experienced team members.
