Job Description

Join our team as a Civil Engineer (Structural). You will plan, design, and manage structural projects for commercial and residential developments in Johannesburg. This role requires proficiency in using design software and knowledge of regulations relevant to the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze structural systems for buildings and infrastructures.
  • Prepare detailed specifications for materials and construction methods.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure quality control.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project alignment.
  • Develop and review project plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation.
  • Oversee and supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to plans.
  • Contribute to feasibility studies and risk assessments.
  • Implement sustainability practices in project design and execution.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and advancements in technology.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree is advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a structural engineer
