Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Mechanical Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will support engineering teams by maintaining and repairing mechanical systems as well as assisting in the design and testing of new products. This role requires a solid understanding of mechanical principles, technical expertise, and a passion for problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair various mechanical devices and systems.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.
• Compile and analyze performance data for mechanical systems.
• Assist in the training of junior technicians and apprentices.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to project documentation and reporting.

Advantageous

• Experience with CNC machinery: Hands-on experience operating CNC machines.
• Knowledge of robotics and automation systems: Familiarity with robotic systems and automation in manufacturing.
