Job Description

The Athletic Field Custodian will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of athletic fields. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance tasks, preparing fields for games, and ensuring safe playing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with groundskeeping staff to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed.
• Paint field lines, numbers, and logos as required.
• Monitor field conditions and report any issues to the Head of Groundskeeping.
• Assist in planning and executing large maintenance projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
• Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in turf management is advantageous

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in turf maintenance or related field

Technical Skills

• Turf management
• Landscaping equipment operation

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Teamwork

Advantageous

• Experience with irrigation systems: Familiarity with operating and maintaining irrigation systems.
• Knowledge of sports field marking techniques: Ability to accurately mark fields for various sports.
