Join our team as a Mechanical Engineer in Johannesburg, where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. The successful candidate will have a strong grasp of engineering principles and will work collaboratively to solve complex problems while ensuring project deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development projects from concept to production.
• Evaluate engineering designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure all designs meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers for component sourcing.
• Analyze test results and iterate on designs as necessary.
• Optimize processes for improved efficiency.
• Participate in cross-functional teams for integrated project delivery.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct training sessions for technical staff.
• Foster a culture of safety and compliance within engineering practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering roles

Technical Skills

• Catia
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
