Job Description

As a Teaching Assistant at our Port Elizabeth campus, you will play a vital role in supporting both teachers and students. Your main responsibilities will include assisting in classroom management, helping with lesson preparation, and providing additional support to students who need it. This position requires excellent communication skills, a passion for education, and a proactive approach to student engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organise classroom resources.
  • Assist in the assessment and evaluation of student progress.
  • Encourage students to take responsibility for their learning.
  • Help to create a safe and stimulating learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to plan lesson activities.
  • Assist in classroom management and organisation.
  • Support students during assessment periods.
  • Participate in school community events.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or Children's Studies
Experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in educational settings
