Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, providing healthcare advice, and supporting clients with their healthcare needs. This role is integral to maintaining compliance with health regulations and implementing best practices in pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify prescriptions for appropriateness before dispensing.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to manage patient care.
• Monitor patient outcomes and adjust therapies as needed.
• Provide drug utilization reviews and recommendations.
• Educate patients on preventive care and wellness strategies.
• Lead initiatives to improve pharmacy service delivery.
• Participate in community health programs.
• Contribute to the training of pharmacy students during their rotations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field
• Postgraduate qualification preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in community pharmacy.

Technical Skills

• Clinical Pharmacy

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
