Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our bustling medical team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and be adept at diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services including examinations, treatment plans, and follow-up care to our diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in a variety of settings.
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices and preventative care.
• Utilize electronic health records (EHR) to document patient interactions.
• Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to enhance patient care.
• Engage in patient community outreach programs.
• Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.
• Assist in the training and mentorship of junior medical staff.
• Stay abreast of new medications and treatment protocols.
• Contribute to the development of care strategies and protocols.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Additional certifications in family medicine are advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a General Practitioner
