Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, maintaining high standards of nursing practice, and collaborating closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals. You will play a crucial role in patient assessment, care planning, and implementation of nursing treatments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care that meets the needs of patients.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and reassessments.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous (IV) lines as necessary.
• Participate in care planning and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and discharge planning.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and in compliance with legal standards.
• Utilize critical thinking in problem-solving and decision-making processes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and institutional policies.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification
• Nursing Diploma or Certification preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting preferred

• Emergency Medical Response

Certifications

• Nursing Quality Improvement Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Paediatric Nursing: Knowledgeable and skilled in the care of children and adolescents.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR): Familiar with the use of EHR systems for patient documentation.
