Job Description

As a Textile Knitting and Weaving Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of textile machines, ensuring they produce high-quality carpets and rugs. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills to maintain efficiency and quality in production.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up, operate and maintain various weaving and knitting machines.
  • Conduct fabric inspections and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Document production processes and machine settings.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Train and mentor junior operators in machinery operation.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate or equivalent
  • Certification in textile weaving or a related field is a plus
Experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in textile weaving.
