Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized educational plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning challenges. You will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other specialists to provide tailored support to help each student achieve their maximum potential.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement specialized educational programs to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and effectiveness of interventions.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student achievements and challenges.
  • Facilitate training sessions for staff on accommodating students with special needs.
  • Advocate for students’ needs within the school community.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Develop classroom activities that foster peer interaction and social skills.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to improve teaching methods.
  • Collaborate with external specialists for multidisciplinary support.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to enhance educational outcomes.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Special Education or related field
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with special needs students

  • Data tracking and analysis skills
  • Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Certifications
  • Certified Special Education Teacher
Languages
