We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Counsellor to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate support and guidance to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Your role will involve assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions to enhance their well-being.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement counselling strategies that meet the specific needs of clients.
• Utilize evidence-based approaches to enhance client outcomes.
• Assess client needs and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Participate in clinical supervision and peer reviews.
• Create a welcoming and safe environment for clients.
• Educate clients about mental health resources available in the community.
• Provide support during crisis situations and coordinate emergency responses.
• Engage in research activities to improve counselling practices.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mental health trends and challenges.
• Encourage client feedback to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Counselling or Clinical Psychology
• Additional certifications in mental health counselling preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in a counselling role
