We are seeking a passionate veterinarian to join our team in Bloemfontein. This role involves providing comprehensive medical care to animals, including examinations, diagnostics, and treatment plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to animal welfare and excellent communication skills to educate pet owners on health and preventative care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise veterinary technicians and support staff.
• Provide guidance and education to clients regarding pet health.
• Participate in continuing education to enhance professional skills.
• Conduct health screenings and preventive care checks.
• Facilitate surgery and anesthesia when necessary.
• Advocate for the well-being of animals and promote humane treatment.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
• Postgraduate qualifications in Veterinary Surgery is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a mixed animal practice

Technical Skills

• Diagnostic Imaging
• Anesthesia Management

Certifications

• Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Certification
• Veterinary Practice Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
