Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in mechanical engineering principles to design and develop innovative solutions that meet client specifications. You will work closely with other engineers on multidisciplinary teams to bring concepts to life.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations to support technical designs.
• Prepare prototypes for testing and validation.
• Review supplier proposals and evaluate material costs.
• Engage in continuous improvements of design processes.
• Support commissioning and installation phases of projects.
• Provide technical support during project execution.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5 years of substantial experience in mechanical engineering roles

Technical Skills

• Mechanical Design Software
• Thermodynamics

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Engineering Technician (CET)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Familiarity with PLC Programming: Basic understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) beneficial.
• Experience in Robotics Engineering: Knowledge in designing and implementing robotic systems is a plus.
