Mining Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mining Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of mining operations, and will lead projects to optimize production while ensuring safety standards. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing efficient mining processes and strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage mining project timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with health and safety officers to ensure compliance.
• Evaluate the performance of mining operations and recommend improvements.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians in mining practices.
• Participate in environmental assessments and sustainability initiatives.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to laws.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field
• Professional certification in Mining Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in mining project management

• Drilling Techniques

Certifications

• Certified Mine Manager (CMM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
