Join our dedicated team as a Food Safety Inspector in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating food safety measures, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. Your contribution will ensure safe food for our community.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine inspections to ensure adherence to food safety standards.
• Identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and compliance.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager to enhance safety protocols.
• Conduct workshops for food safety awareness among staff.
• Investigate and report food safety violations.
• Evaluate supplier compliance with food safety requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for food safety.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in food inspection or quality management

Technical Skills

• Risk Assessment

Certifications

• Certified Food Safety Manager

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with ISO standards: Experience working with ISO food safety standards.
