Job Description

We are seeking a Food Scientist to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have experience in food formulation, product development, and regulatory compliance. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative food products and improve existing ones.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation within the existing range.
  • Conduct market research to assess competitive products and trends.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to align product development with company goals.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients.
  • Mentor junior staff in food science principles and laboratory techniques.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field
  • Master's degree in Food Technology or similar is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in food industry research and development
