Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our talented team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and developing mechanical systems, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in mechanical engineering principles and be passionate about advancing technology in our field.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from conception to production.
• Perform stress analysis and optimization of mechanical components.
• Document technical reports and present findings to senior management.
• Participate in design reviews and project meetings.
• Develop and enforce quality control procedures within the engineering team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in a related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Project Management

• Team Collaboration
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

• Experience in Renewable Energy Projects: Working on projects related to sustainable energy solutions.
• Proficient in MATLAB or similar tools: Experience analyzing mechanical systems and conducting simulations.
