Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Pharmacist to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health records and medication history.
• Advise other healthcare professionals on medication choices.
• Conduct medication therapy management sessions.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
• Serve as a resource for drug information to healthcare providers.
• Assist in the development of pharmacy protocols.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and therapies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy is advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years of pharmacy experience, with a focus on patient care

Technical Skills

• Compounding
• Drug Interaction Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Problem-Solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Registered Pharmacist Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Clinical Trials: Involvement in clinical trials to enhance patient care protocols.
• Fluent in Afrikaans or Zulu: Ability to communicate in local languages to assist diverse patient demographics.
