Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Healthcare Pharmacy Solutions in Durban. The successful applicant will assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and managing inventories, ensuring a smooth operation while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications for distribution and verify their correctness.
• Guide customers on the appropriate use of medications.
• Work closely with the pharmacy team to ensure operational efficiency.
• Track inventory trends and assist in stock management.
• Engage in continuous learning and development to stay updated on pharmacy practices.
• Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervising pharmacist.

Requirements

Education

• Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Assistance or equivalent
• Certification in Pharmaceutical Sciences is a plus

Experience

• At least 2 years in a pharmacy or healthcare environment
