Job Description

Join our caring team as a Childcare Teacher, where you will be responsible for managing and guiding the educational experience of young children. This includes planning activities, maintaining a safe classroom, and collaborating with parents to support each child’s individual development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to children’s needs.
  • Foster an environment of respect, tolerance, and understanding.
  • Evaluate and document children’s progress and achievements.
  • Coordinate with childcare management for event planning and implementation.
  • Provide support for children with special needs and adapt activities accordingly.
  • Facilitate parent-teacher meetings and contribute to community events.
  • Promote positive behaviour and address challenging behaviours constructively.
  • Integrate technology in learning where appropriate to enhance teaching.
  • Utilize resources effectively to support children's learning experiences.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate
  • Childcare or Early Childhood Development (ECD) qualification
  • Registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE)
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a childcare teacher.
