Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Cytogenetic Technologist to join our fast-paced laboratory team. You will play a vital role in preparing and interpreting genetic material, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of genetic disorders. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be key in ensuring accurate results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct karyotyping and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) tests.
• Analyze and interpret results in accordance with established protocols.
• Provide technical support and training to junior laboratory staff.
• Manage and oversee lab information management systems (LIMS).
• Prepare reports and documentation for external audits.
• Contribute to research and development projects as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or a related field.
• Certification as a Cytogenetic Technologist preferred.

Experience

• Experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies is a plus.
